The delegation was led by Professor Jiro ARIMA and Associate Professor Yukinori YABUTA, with activities including off-campus visits and on-campus seminars to deepen interaction and cooperation between the two institutions in the field of biotechnology.<\/p>\n<p>On the first day of the exchange (August 26), Lin, Han-Trou, Chair of MCU\u2019s Department of Biotechnology, personally led faculty and students from both universities to Yilan to visit the Academia Sinica Coastal Research Station. The group was received and guided by Research Fellow Yu Chih\u2011Kai, who introduced the latest research achievements in marine biology, highlighting Taiwan\u2019s strengths and distinctive features in marine scientific research. Students from both universities first participated together in an Italian gelato-making experience to strengthen friendships, followed by a student symposium featuring project presentations and discussion sessions. The event showcased students\u2019 engagement with and critical thinking on international biotechnology issues.<\/p>\n<p>Chair Lin, Han-Trou noted, \u201cSince 2019, under the introduction of Professor Lin Chang\u2011Ho from the Department of Applied Japanese, Ming Chuan University and Tottori University have conducted mutual visits. Although exchanges were temporarily suspended due to the pandemic, frequent interactions have resumed since 2024.
