They sampled faculty- and student-developed blueberry jam and beer, praising flavor and R&D outcomes. The visit showcased the department’s integration of theory with hands-on practice and its commitment to innovative food research and teaching.

In collaboration with Taoyuan Hospital, Ming Chuan University has discovered a new Streptococcus species, Streptococcus taonis sp. nov. Identified by a microbiology and bioinformatics team from the Department of Biotechnology, the finding enhances understanding of Streptococcus diversity and provides scientific support for improved disease prevention, diagnosis, and treatment.

The 2026 International Symposia on Striving for Excellence in Higher Education will be held on March 13, 2026, at Ming Chuan University’s Taoyuan Campus.
