Located along the Central Stairway, connecting Zhongshan North Road with the main academic area, the campus’s first escalator is scheduled to begin construction in the second half of 2025. Upon completion, it will significantly enhance pedestrian convenience and is expected to become the longest campus escalator in Taiwan, establishing a new landmark for a smart and accessible campus.
The project also includes the installation of a solar-powered canopy, providing both sun and rain protection while supplying renewable energy. In the future, the university will continue to assess vertical circulation routes between academic buildings, plan additional escalator facilities, and integrate existing barrier-free elevators and shuttle systems to comprehensively advance the goal of a stair-free campus.
