Beyond academics, students from both universities also experienced local life in Guishan, visiting a traditional back-street market and making “Luen Gau,” a traditional rice cake, to learn about Taiwanese food culture firsthand.
On the final day, the group visited the Cancer Research Institute at the National Health Research Institutes in Zhunan to learn about Taiwan’s biomedical and cancer research environment, followed by a visit to Nanzhuang, Miaoli, to experience local culture.
